    Description
The Foam Company has been a cornerstone of Maui’s surf and bodyboarding culture since it first opened its doors on December 20, 2003. In 2025, the shop entered an exciting new chapter under the ownership of husband-and-wife team, Jacob and Celestial Romero. For Jacob — a world-renowned professional bodyboarder — owning The Foam Company is the fulfillment of a lifelong dream. He’s been riding for the shop since 2006, representing its name and spirit on waves around the world while staying grounded in his Maui roots. His deep connection to the ocean and the local community makes this next step a natural evolution. Together with his wife Celestial, the Romero's bring fresh energy, heart, and vision to the brand. As new owners, their mission is to preserve The Foam Company’s legacy while continuing to grow the community, inspire the next generation, and share the stoke with everyone who walks through their doors. Locally owned and community driven, The Foam Company remains a trusted hub for bodyboarders, and ocean lovers — a space where the spirit of the islands lives on and the love of the ride is always front and center.
